About

I go by the moniker Cookies_and_Chaos on AO3 and that seems as good a moniker to use here as well.

I have no published fictional works (as of yet) but have published academically in the field of disability. My job also pays me to spend most of my working hours doing loads of research, though sadly not into LGBTQA+ history, boarding schools, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer lore… what a glorious job that would be. Disability research, primarily, which I find just as interesting.

All this means, I spend a lot of time researching and writing, and after taking the time to look at the sheer amount of research I had done, particularly on the history of LGBTQA+ communities, forensics, police corruption and brutality, British boarding schools, and disability and mental health in Britain, I realised that there was a lot of information.

Anyway, whether someone finds it useful for something they’re writing or it inspires someone to write something, or it just interests someone to learn a bit more about the history of some of these topics, it will have been worthwhile.

(Also, I’m going to use this as another way to practice my HTML and CSS skills which are very rusty, and link related media for some of my fanfics, so it will be worthwhile even if only I use it.)

Given the nature of my writing and my job, most of my research is about:
